America's greatest asset is our diversity and human capital. Your contribution provides a platform to inspire those less fortunate.

THE REVELATION PROJECT is initiative designed to connect American youth from diverse socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds by exposing them to life 'outside their box'. Uniquely structured single day field trips serve to motivate, inspire, and provide a spark to believe and achieve.

Taj Global Understanding (TGU) is a Virginia based non-profit organization working in the international youth travel space, with ten years experience promoting and managing cross-cultural exchange programs for students from India traveling to the United States.

The aim of the initiative is to reintroduce American's with each other, to strengthen our core, to build bridges, to educate, and to inspire unlikely friendships. By definition, a revelation is a surprising and previously unknown fact, especially one that is made known in a dramatic way. The Revelation Project, field trips with a purpose.

" The premise is very simple, a back to basics approach. You take two groups of youth from completely opposite backgrounds and bring them together. TGU provides the platform and the youth ignite the spark.

A trip to India at the age of 16 set my life on a new course. Having grown up in small town America, I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel to all 50 US States and 27 countries around the world. Much of my professional life has been spent volunteering and working overseas in India, a journey that continues today.

Traveling changes lives. The opportunity to see the world outside of our own environment introduces us to new people, new ideas, new cultures & new ways of thinking. It forces us to realize the very best in our own communities. Traveling has the potential to awaken our spirit and help us reach our potential.

The Revelation Project is an opportunity to utilize my experience to connect American youth from all backgrounds. " Brad Baldwin, President TGU

For many American youth, the concept of traveling or gaining exposure outside of their specific locality is not something that is an option. TGU proposes the following core educational and therapeutic benefits of travel, even with a single day field trip:

  1. Travel boosts creativity
  2. Travel makes us more trusting
  3. Travel creates better problem solvers
  4. Travel makes us more humble
  5. Travel opens our eyes to new things
  6. Travel makes us sharper
  7. Travel allows us to reinvent ourselves
  8. Travel makes us less fearful
  9. Travel can make us happier
  10. Travel can inspire and motivate us

A group of 50 teens from inner city USA travel to small town rural USA and meet up with 50 local youth for a highly structured and interactive day.

Each field trip will consist of the following components:(a) academic (b) cross cultural (c) local sight seeing.

No phones. No devices. People to people interaction. It is an opportunity to learn about each other as well as the self.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. "Mark Twain
